Writing Poems

When it comes to poetry
I don't need a shove
As writing poetry to me
Is a labour of love.
I can think of the future
Or dip into the past,
Either way when writing
The time passes fast.
When writing poems
I rarely get tired
As I really love
When I'm inspired.
Writing is a hobby
I enjoy a great deal
As I get to express
How I feel.
It doesn't cost much
To write a rhyme,
A pen and some paper
And a little free time.
I get an idea
Like a fragile thread
Then I weave words
Inside my head.
Then I put the words on paper
With the pen in my hand
And write a poem,
I hope you understand!
